Beyond the Gates

Can faintly hear Dustin downstairs. Hollers down to him, "Thanks!"

-leans against the wall sucking in the smoke-
Whatever.

Mumbles a bit. Mary knocks on the bedroom door and I jump up to get it. Takes the bottle of water and pack of crackers and tells her "Thank you." Walks back to the bed handing her the water and crackers. Sits on the edge of her bed watching her closely but not speaking.

Talks quietly.
"Tell him I said thank you..." Sits up slowly and nibbles on a cracker, downing the water.

-breaths out smoke as eyes turn into a fire color-
I havent had this in such a long time..
-mumbles to self and sighs in relif-

Nods lightly and gets up walking to her door. Places my hand on the knob and looks back at her, "I will be right back, hun." Walks out the door and down the stairs. Walks to the front door that is still open. Leans on the door frame looking at Dustin, speaks softly "She said thank you."

Finishes a couple of the crackers and sips on the water again.

-nods and looks at her, eyes are a color of fire and puplis are in slits-
Shes welcome..
-breathes out the smoke-

Starts to get up but gasps softly, dropping the glass of water, eyes going black as it falls to the floor, glass and water splattering everywhere.

Raises eye brow at him as my eyes slowly turn from blue to red-ish. Waves the smoke away and coughs once. "Humph."

-hears the glass shatter-
What was that?

Sits there staring blankly at nothing, the glass breaking and shattering around room.

Hears something hit the floor upstairs and slams the door shut dashing up the stairs taking two at a time and runs into Kami's room flinging the door open. Runs to Kami and puts my hands on her shoulders as I guide her back to her bed.

Sits on the bed, unaware that she's even there, face going pale and eyes pitch black.

-throws cigert on the ground and stomps on it, breaks down the door and looks aorund-
Whoah..

Kneels down on the floor in front of her, "Hun? Can you hear me?" Stands up and sprints across her room to her desk picking up a pen and a notepad. Makes my way back to her and places the pen a pad in her lap, "Is it a vision?" Takes her hand putting myself into her brain to experience whats happened along side her.

Suddenly screams, the sound echoing through the house and falls back against the bed passed out, arm bleeding out of no where.

Eyes turn white as I pull myself from her head. Gasps for breath looking at her. "Okay, okay." Runs to the bathroom and grabs bandages. Runs back to her covering the bleeding spots on her arm trying to stop the bleeding. Places my hand across her forehead saying a few hushes words making her pain stop.

Jolts up gasping, pushing my hair away from my face and panting.

-smells the air, eyes remin in slits but turn a blood red color, fangs extend-
Blood...new flesh...

Mumbles under breath hearing Dustin's words, "Touch her and you AND your little pet are ash. Promise." Pushes the hair out of Kami's face. Runs to the bathroom grabbing a washcloth and wetting it with cold water. Runs back to Kami and places the cloth across her head.

Talks quietly as eyes go back to normal ice blue with gold around the pupils.
"Thanks..."

Nods and sighs. Paces back and forth through her room along side her bed.

Sighs and stands up slowly, walking carefully down the stairs. Stands in front of Dustin and crosses arms, looking up at him.
"You came to this town for a reason. You haven't been here long and you're not like the rest of us. Why?"

Stops pacing and watches her walk out. Walks out behind her. Comes to a stop downstairs by her side in front of Dustin. Watches quietly without speaking.
